5. Artist Explanation - I as an artist started to think what the Gender Income Gap is and why is it still in our modern world today. At first, I wanted to show the difference between a male and a female. So, I put a female symbol and a male symbol, the female one pink and the male one blue. Then, I put text so I could explain the difference in pay and the specific amount of the difference in pay. The design principles I chose were variety and order. The variety in this poster are the multiple colors and the order in this poster are the way the text is written out.

In my new poster I decided to add new pictures of people. I also decided to add text because my poster was vague.

After some thoughts from some of my peers I decided to add a less than 1/2 photo of a woman in distress and a more than 3/4 picture of a successful man. I also added text, so that my poster would not be vague, because without the text this poster would not make complete sense.
